All is Perfect! (October 19, 2017)

You have a stunning house and property which you have made into a lovely home. We have enjoyed every minute of being here. we have treated your home with respect and have had no problems.

We have been very lucky with the weather. We have walked, biked and rafted (as well as relaxed!). We have just got back from the Polynesian spa and are about to settle in to our last night here with a beer and a spaghetti bolognese.

We plan to visit Rainbow park early tomorrow to see the kiwis and then come back and pack which means we will leave between 12 and 1 Hope that is OK with you.

Thanks for having us,
Cheryl, Liz and Lachlan.

Just a Fantastic Experience (April 30, 2017)

Guests at Woodstock FarmPeace, beauty and privacy are the strong points of this place.

The house is beautiful, well cared for, soaked and situated in a picturesque place in the middle of nature. Great location to visit the "attractions" of the area (Rotorua-Te Puie-Agrodome-Hobbiton ...).

My daughter and I spent a lovely stay at Woodstock. Thanks to the thoughtful Lady Donna.

Quite An Adventure (December 30, 2015)

We had a fantastic wonderful stay at Woodstock - you have a beautiful home in a very special location.

We managed to do a hike down to the lake and around to the native forest – it was 26C but we took plenty of water, wearing hats and sunscreen, being Aussies we know how hot the NZ sun can be! The lake is truly magical close up (we were very respectful, knowing the Maori history of the area). Our walk through the forest was like entering ‘Jurassic Park ‘ - we had quite an adventure!

Happy New Year for 2016 !

Amazing View (June 1, 2015)

We are a family of 5 and earlier this month, we stayed 4 nights at Woodstock Farm. And we loved it there!!!! The house is very comfortable, clean an filled up with useful things (good games for children, big washing machine and dryer, boots and raincoat that we can borrow...). It was much more than what we expected. Donna was very helpful with her ideas of places to go with children. The walk to the lake is the must-do.

House location is close to Roturua and very easy to find. We sincerely hope to come again one day. Many thanks to Donna.

Lovely vacation rental in Rotorua (May 4, 2015)

Woodstock is an amazing property located in a stunning location. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. It has all the facilities like a fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, free parking. Forget the hotels and give this a try and you will not regret it for a moment. You do need a car as it is away from the city centre (not far though). The pictures cant do justice to the place which is beautiful beyond words. It is great for couples or families. Loved our stay there and will be back for a longer stay. Thank you Donna and Dennis for all your help from the booking to our actual stay there. You both were wonderful. Cheers to both of you!!

Family of 6 (April 7, 2014)

Our family of 6 just returned from a 3 week vacation in New Zealand/Australia. While in the Rotorua area, we stayed at the Woodstock Farmstay. This is an absolutely beautiful working sheep station (ranch). The house was very well appointed and very comfortable. It had a very warm "homey" feel and a beatiful view of Green Lake below (a remote, private lake owned by the local Maori tribe). We greatly appreciated the very nice laundry facilities and WIFI access (which can be difficult to find in New Zealand). The kitchen was very well equipped and was very family friendly. The home is very conveniently located just outside of the city of Rotorua so that you can easily access the amenities of Rotorua but also get the advantage of a very private, remote setting. Also we were happily suprised to find that the entry to the long driveway of the property is located just across the road from the Tamaki Maori Village. We attended a traditional Maori Hangi (similar to a Luau) that my children much enjoyed. The home is also located a short 50 minute drive to Hobbiton in Matamata for all you "Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" fans (my kids enjoyed the tour of Hobbiton). Also recommend checking out "eat street" in downtown Rotorua and the Redwood forest just outside of Rotorua. Much to explore in the area and wish we would have had more time there. We would definitely stay in this beautiful home again. Thank you for sharing it with our family!

Thank you so much for renting your house to us. The house is beautiful. It is equipped with everything we could possible need. We feel blessed to be here. What a perfect to end our time here in New Zealand.

After I catch up on our laundry we are going to walk down around the lake. We are not leaving the property today. We just want to enjoy the peace that we have found here.

Again thank you!
Warmest Regards,
Mark and Cindy

Guests at Woodstock FarmWe had a fantastic time in New Zealand and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodstock at the beginning of our trip. It was a perfect start for a perfect holiday.

Your property has everything, inside, outside and with a view to dream of.

Thank you for offering your property for rent. A big thank you also to Dennis, who was very helpful and even showed us some sheep shearing on our last day.

Attached is family picture taken at Woodstock with the scenic background and even some sheeps can be seen as well.

Sam, Randy and Noah (April 6, 2012)

I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving us such an amazing opportunity to see the real countryside of New Zealand. This is the first time, (as whenever I am on vacation I go go go) that staying home was the real destination. While we did many things, several of our days planned were just to stay home, as we knew we couldn't find a better spot than right where we were.

Everyone has been just outstanding. You can tell that your New Zealand gang really respects you and takes unbelievable care of your place. We have so enjoyed it and I KNOW I will be back. The sun is shining on the lake right now and its just stunning. I'm so sad to have to leave. I will be sure to write an extremely praiseful review on all of your sites and just let me know if there are any that I don't know about that I can post to. I'll also be sure to send some pictures that we took as soon as we get home and settled in.

Thanks again for putting the most fabulous cherry on our 6 week vacation sundae!

Sam, Randy and Noah.

P.S. Its gonna kill me to leave this beautiful place....

Guests at Woodstock FarmWe would like to say - no, we would like to scream WE ENJOYED every bit of our stay at Woodstock.

We were shocked to have the whole house to ourselves and we went delirious with the superb view we get during our stay although it was a short stay. We should have stayed longer.

Dennis was a great host and his friends were just as friendly.

We had great fun frolicking with the sheep and we miss them sheep so much.

Enough said, Woodstock is highly recommended!

Zoe in the UK (April 18, 2011)

... we could not have had a more fantastic stay. We adored the house and could not quite believe how isolated in such pristine beauty it was - not a light or house in sight! The children loved running up and down the hill to the lake, and Dennis was so incredibly kind, demonstrating sheep shearing and looking after us. He was also incredibly kind when one of the children pulled down the curtain rail - apologies, he said he would be able to fix it, but do let us know if there was a cost.

We would love to come to Woodstock again, it is a little piece of perfection, such a tranquil and comfortable house nestled in exquisite natural beauty. The views are quite breathtaking, we spent ages just watching the changing sky over the lake - truly the stuff of dreams. Thank you.

Darren in Hong Kong (Mar 25, 2011)

It was absolutely perfect, we loved the house and the surrounding views, what an awesome place. Our boys spent the whole time running on the lawns. We took the boys up to watch Dennis running the sheep through treatment aswell - he was great with them.

We had great weather for the majority of our stay, only one wet day on March 5th up in Russell, apart from that it was sunshine all the way.

We will certainly be back in New Zealand and would love to visit Woodstock again - we felt like royalty driving up through the forest to the house! We brought our two youngest boys with us this time, next time we'll bring them all in school holidays.

We had a wonderful time at Woodstock!! Words seem inadequate to describe how beautiful your home and surrounding landscape are. We also stayed in rental units in Fran Josef and Queenstown and your property was by far the best!!

I honestly can't think of a way to improve the destination....I only wish I had stayed longer!! :)

Thanks again...I will definitely encourage anyone I know travelling to NZ to book with you (and hope to do so again myself).

The Magimay family in England (Jan 11, 2010)

We had an amazing time at Woodstock, you have the most beautiful house in an amazing location and we were fortunate to spend Christmas there. The kids loved it and we took the opportunity to enjoy the grounds and walk down to the Green Lake. Woodstock was really the highlight of our trip to NZ.

Dennis took really good care of us ... we will certainly be recommending Woodstock to all our friends and will definitely be in touch the next time we are down in NZ.

Donna in Vienna (Dec 23, 2009)

We have just recently returned to Vienna from our vacaton in New Zealand and our short stop at Woodstock. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. Your house is the perfect place to get away from it all - just beautiful. If we had known how nice it would be, we certainly would have planned a longer visit. Dennis was very helpful and we were sorry we didn't have time to see all of the farm.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us - we would love to come back to New Zealand soon and we would love to come back to Woodstock!
